2nd Suspect Arrested in Homicide A second man has been arrested in the home invasion/homicide of Crystal Johnson; photo-Gregory Kennon.

Detectives have arrested a second suspect, Gregory Kennon, DOB

9-19-87, in connection with the fatal shooting of Crystal Johnson.

Kennon was arrested today at his residence located at 711 26^th Ave. E., Bradenton.

 

Physical evidence at the crime scene implicated Kennon in the shooting which occurred on July 12, 2009, at Desoto Village Apartments in Bradenton.  Detectives obtained arrest warrants today for two counts of Homicide and one count of Armed Burglary to a Dwelling.

 

Crystal Johnson was pregnant at the time of the shooting.  Her baby was delivered but later died at All Children’s Hospital.

 

On July 17, detectives arrested Everrick Houston on charges of Murder.  The investigation continues with the possibility of more arrests.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 941-747-3011, ext. 2159 or Crime Stoppers at 866-634-TIPS.
